WYLIE HALL - ASSISTED LIVING SERVICES

Wylie Hall has provided caring assisted living services since its opening in 1988. Located adjacent to Covenant Way’s Central Complex, Wylie is home to 20 individuals who are accommodated in private rooms with private baths.

Wylie is designed for people who desire a degree of supervision in their daily lives. Trained resident assistants working under the direction of a registered nurse and the medical director are on duty 24-hours-a-day to provide care that is catered to individual needs. This care relieves burdens, allowing residents new freedoms to focus on friendships and personal interests.

Each resident is invited to participate in the development of his or her own personal care plan which serves to delineate the resident’s personal goals and services he or she desires. A comprehensive life enrichment program caters to individual and group interests. An on-site rehabilitation group provides physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language therapy should such needs arise.

Assistance is cheerfully rendered, yet independence is encouraged. Resident services include monitoring of medical needs, medication administration (includes ordering medications according to physician’s prescriptions), three meals each day, and assistance with daily activities (grooming, bathing, scheduling, etc.).

These services meet the tangible needs of those who live in Wylie, and they provide an even greater intangible benefit to residents and their family members: the peace of mind that comes from being surrounded by people who are not only competent but compassionate in the service they render. There is a definite family atmosphere in Wylie. Perhaps that’s why so many residents through the years have recommended that their relatives and friends join them in making Wylie their home.

One resident has this to say about her experience, “I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. I get such good care.” And the daughter of another tells us, “My parents lived a short distance from Covenant Way and thought of it for many years as sort of a home-away-from-home. They enjoyed taking early morning walks on the grounds there daily. What a blessing that when my mother needed the services of Wylie Hall, they were available. This has truly become her home.”
